The plaster fireplace and vent hood are one of the most unique features of this home. The clients originally wanted them to be stark white like the rest of the walls, but ultimately fell in love with the richness and warmth that the American Clay plaster provided.
The clients wanted wood flooring throughout the home and the 3 1/4" nail down white oak really tied all of the spaces together. We ran wood floors through all of the rooms upstairs and downstairs, except for the bathrooms and it turned out spectacular. The clients also had to have a solid surface backsplash. We chose a 2 cm marble that tied seamlessly into the countertops and turned out beautiful.
This project took about 11 months to complete from permitting to final.
